General Program Information

Students selected will be expected to adhere to the following expectations:

        Making the time commitment

       Maintaining professionalism at all times

        Successful completion of the class

       Regular attendance in every class

The EMT basic course is one semester long, approximately 120-130 hours of work.  The students are prepared to take the National Registry exam to become certified EMTs.  While the program is not a guarantee of employment at Bell, the company looks to the successful students as a qualified pool of eligible applicants for EMT-Basic positions.

Bell Ambulance assists the selected students with registration for the class, offers continued support to the students with additional tutoring, if requested, and opportunities to “ride along” on a Bell Ambulance for observations and additional hands-on experience.   Students are financially responsible for all course expenses; however, financial aid and payment plans may be available directly through MATC.
